At Grupo Vantaz, we are committed to creating an inclusive and diverse work environment. As part of our focus on sustainability and our commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), we have established a series of concrete actions to promote education and awareness within our company.
One of our first goals was to conduct educational programs to raise awareness in our community on three key verticals: Women, the LGBTI+ community and people with disabilities. To achieve this, we organized a series of educational talks and events given by experts in the field.
Among these initiatives, we would like to highlight the Diverse and Inclusive Leaders session for our managers and executives, which focused on the importance of leading with an inclusive and diverse approach. This talk was the starting point for fostering a leadership culture that values diversity and inclusion at all levels of the organization.
We also held sessions on the ABCs of Sexual and Gender Diversity and Unconscious Bias to increase understanding and sensitivity to these issues among all members of our community.
We also use our thematic months, such as Women's Month, LGBTI+ Community Month and Disability Month, to disseminate educational materials and promote dialogue around these important areas of focus.
We are committed to further strengthening these initiatives and expanding our IED impact, with the goal of creating an inclusive, diverse and equitable work environment for all "Vantázticas".
Creation of our first ERG - "Inclusión Enacción"
In June 2023, following our call for proposals, the company's first ERG, "Inclusión Enacción", was formed under the slogan "We are diverse, let's build an inclusive future."
"Inclusión Enacción" seeks to foster an organizational culture in which each "Vantáztico" and "Vantáztica" feels valued, respected and included, regardless of their origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, abilities or any other personal characteristic. To create a space where everyone can express themselves authentically, contribute their unique perspectives, and feel an active part of the company's growth and success.
Pride and Equity Diagnostics
During this time, we have made significant progress on LGBTI+ inclusion. Among other things, we have conducted training for the teams responsible for this work, made changes to our definitions, developed protocols, implemented mentoring, and launched awareness campaigns. While each of these steps represents significant progress, we recognize the importance of external diagnostics, such as those conducted by Pride Connection and Equity, which serve as a thermometer to ensure that we are moving in the right direction.
In early 2023, we conducted our first measurement, which gave us our baseline. Far from discouraging us, this result has motivated us to redouble our efforts. We look forward to knowing our score in March 2024 and remain committed to improving our workplaces, both for today's community and for future generations. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing our progress!
