Due Diligence Process

The due diligence process, an important milestone in our commitment to corporate responsibility, marks the beginning of a journey toward greater awareness of our impacts and more comprehensive management of our business practices. In this inaugural process, we engaged in a close and collaborative dialog with our key stakeholders: the vantázticos and vantázticas, customers and suppliers. This approach allowed us to clearly and precisely identify the key issues that deserve special attention in the

coming year.

This step forward is critical as it lays the groundwork for addressing the challenges identified and moving toward more sustainable practices. This process also marks an important change in the way we do business, because while we will always maintain direct contact with our stakeholders, formalizing these practices reinforces our commitment to transparency, accountability and continuous improvement. Through these efforts, we not only meet higher ethical standards, but also lay the groundwork for building stronger and more sustainable relationships with those we directly or indirectly impact.

This is just the first of many steps toward a more conscious and responsible business future.

Sustainability Report

The Sustainability Report, which has been a recurring part of our business practice, is undergoing a significant transformation. Rather than simply documenting past achievements, this report is becoming a testament to our serious and deep commitment to sustainability in all aspects of our business. Over the years, we have shared our successes in areas such as the environment, culture and community contributions. However, we have evolved to a more holistic and structured approach, recognizing that sustainability involves evaluating our day-to-day practices, the way we do business and how we relate to our employees.

This new approach includes not only the adoption of standards, protocols, and specific policies, but also the definition of quantifiable goals and KPIs that allow us to objectively measure our progress.

We recognize that a commitment to sustainability goes beyond good intentions and requires a solid foundation backed by tangible actions. The process of writing this report was not just a technical exercise, but a journey of self-assessment and continuous learning.

We have invested significant effort in training in new areas and in being humble and vulnerable in identifying potential areas for improvement. This act of introspection not only strengthens our commitment to sustainability, but also fills us with pride as it demonstrates our willingness to change for the better.

The Sustainability Report, scheduled for publication in March 2024, will be accessible from this, our website. This document will not only be a reflection of our journey, but also a guide for the future path to a more sustainable and responsible company, using the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) methodology to provide a transparent framework and internationally recognized standards that will strengthen the credibility of our sustainable practices.

Increase our sustainability indicator

As part of our ongoing efforts to evaluate and improve our sustainability practices and learning over the past several years, we conducted our first external diagnostic study in early 2023 to gain an objective perspective on our performance relative to other companies.

Our baseline, far from discouraging us, became a clear starting point for action. Over the course of 2023, we have dedicated ourselves to formalizing practices and implementing significant changes. While some of these changes may not be immediately visible to our teams, we have built a solid structure that supports and strengthens our best practices. We look forward to seeing how these efforts will be reflected in the upcoming 2024 Corporate Sustainability Diagnosis (CSD) report.

In addition to meeting external standards, this process reflects our internal commitment to continuous improvement and alignment with the sustainability principles that guide our strategy. We believe that this rigorous approach will contribute significantly to raising our Sustainability Index and strengthening our positive impact on society, governance, the environment and human rights.

Decarbonization

Reduction target:

Vantaz is committed to carry out our first formal carbon footprint measurement by 2024 and based on these results design and implement a mitigation plan that by 2030 will have allowed us to significantly reduce our scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.

Our plan is as follows:

2023 - Preliminary internal estimate (base 226,615 tCO2e).

2024 - Science-based Footprint measurement 2024 with external verification.

2025 - Chile Footprint Quantification.

2025/2024 - Mitigation Program.

2050 - Carbon Neutrality.

Advances 2024:

Currently, we have taken actions to increase our level of commitment to biodiversity, and as a result, today:

  • Our level of commitment to biodiversity is Advanced (22 points).
  • We conducted our first Impact and Dependence diagnosis, which showed that the level of dependence on ecosystem services is low. This means that for the business process to happen, we depend indirectly (or not at all) on the ecosystem systems analyzed.
  • Regarding the biodiversity risk level for the consulting sector: Green zone, in other words, low risk.

Our plan for 2025 is as follows:

Increase 4 points in commitment, through the following actions:

  • Improve the organization's knowledge of biodiversity.
  • Increase the amount of biodiversity awareness and training content.
  • Include biodiversity in supplier evaluation/survey.
  • Impact and Dependency Diagnosis: Annual measurement.

For the analysis of commitment, diagnosis of Impact and Dependence and Risk Level of the organization based on the industry sector, we used the Guide for Biodiversity Management in Business, developed by the German Development Cooperation, GIZ-Biodiversity and Business Program in Central America and the Dominican Republic, the Business Alliance for Development (AED) and the Center for Urban Sustainability (CPSU).
