Company awareness and education

At Grupo Vantaz, we are committed to creating an inclusive and diverse work environment. As part of our focus on sustainability and our commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), we have established a series of concrete actions to promote education and awareness within our company.

 

One of our first goals was to conduct educational programs to raise awareness in our community on three key verticals: Women, the LGBTI+ community and people with disabilities. To achieve this, we organized a series of educational talks and events given by experts in the field.

 

During 2024, we focused on deepening our commitment to the inclusion of people with disabilities. To this end, we counted on the participation of Simón Palacios, Atrévete consultant, who led an educational session on various aspects related to disability. This training allowed us to broaden our understanding of the barriers and opportunities to promote real and meaningful inclusion in our organization.

 

In addition, our ERG "Inclusión Enacción"  worked with passion and dedication to create a series of informative capsules that touch on key topics related to our DEI Pillar.

 

In addition, we continue to take advantage of our thematic months, such as Women's Month, LGBTI+ Community Month and Disability Month, to disseminate educational materials and promote dialogue around these important focus areas.

 ERG - Inclusión Enacción

In Grupo Vantaz, we have the ERG “Inclusion In Action”, a team of passionate and committed Vantaztics, formed in June 2023, under the motto “We are Diverse, Let's Build an Inclusive Future”. The team meets every two weeks to work on an annual action plan focused on promoting inclusive initiatives. Its function is to make visible and promote our verticals: Gender Equity, LGBTI+ Community and Disability.

 

We are proud of the commitment and passion that characterizes this group, where we share ideas, learn together and enjoy the process of building a more diverse and equitable work environment. “Inclusion In Action” is a reflection of our conviction that inclusion not only transforms organizations, but also the people who are part of them.

We are happy to have been awarded the “Best Places to Work LGBTI+ 2024.” granted by Pride Connection & Human Rights Campaign. 

 

This certification not only recognizes our commitment to diversity and inclusion, but is a testament to our ability to anticipate change and to approach the workplace from an inclusive and respectful perspective.

 

This achievement is just the beginning of our journey towards greater diversity, inclusion and equity.

CEOs for Inclusion
During 2024 we joined “CEOs for Inclusion”, and together with more than 90 companies we reaffirmed our commitment to diversity and inclusion as strategic pillars for a more equitable future.
 
This initiative seeks to accelerate the labor participation of people with disabilities by understanding the relevance of leadership for organizational change and equity.
 
At Vantaz Group we are proud to be part of this initiative and to actively promote inclusion as a driver of transformation in our organization.

 

March

For the first time this 2024, we were present at the LGBTI+ pride march and joined the Pride Connection Chile parade. It was a great day, full of color, music and an enthusiastic crowd. These types of activities are what drive us to continue working for a more inclusive and diverse mining industry.

 

Diversity is one of our core values and we are committed to, of course, eradicating any form of discrimination but going beyond that by being attractive, as a company, to diverse talent! 

Mentorships 2024
During 2024, we had the privilege of participating as mentors in a program led by Pride Connection, accompanying the companies Natura and Eurofarma. We were proud to be part of this process, sharing practices, learning and experiences with organizations that stand out for their high standards in diversity and inclusion.
 
This initiative was an opportunity to grow together, strengthening our shared commitment to inclusion. The collaboration and exchange of perspectives enriched all participants, demonstrating that, on the road to a more diverse and equitable work environment, there is always room to learn and build together.
Pro Funds for ActuApp Campaign

In 2024, the Employee Resource Team (ERG) “Inclusión Enacción” of Grupo Vantaz carried out a successful fundraising campaign to support ActuApp, a tool developed by Fundación Iguales that allows reporting cases of discrimination against the LGBTI+ community in Chile. 

 

The campaign adopted the “1+1” modality, where the company doubled the funds contributed by employees. To encourage participation, the ERG organized a fund-raising party that brought together the Vantazticos in an atmosphere of camaraderie and commitment, with music, drinks, delicious food and a garage sale.

 

This initiative reflects the commitment of Grupo Vantaz and its ERG “Inclusion In Action” to promote a more inclusive and equitable work and social environment, actively supporting tools that combat discrimination and promote diversity.
